I loved the southwestern/Mexican style of this hotel. The setting was beautiful, with lots of property surrounding it and stunning views. The staff was friendly and really helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a comfortable couch. The sinks were beautiful. The location was great, close to a few restaurants and a small shopping center below. It was also convenient to the Rio Rico golf club.
Everything was great.

Nice place for discovering Rio Rico. Special note of thanks to waiter.

The food was uninspired and lackluster both in the dining room and the bar. I would not dine there again! It's too bad because the ambience is lovely. The marguaritas were delicious!

Nearby dining options include a cool spot called Nickel's Diner, just a 20-minute drive away. Plus, it's only a 15-minute stroll to the Rio Rico Country Club. ⛳

We began staying at Rio Rico about 30 years ago and over the years enjoyed the hotel. This visit was dreadful!!! The room we were given was sub-standard, when moved to another, it was very cold, and when we turned the heat on high it just did NOT warm up. It was very cold in southern Arizona on New Year's Eve!!!! Called the desk, told engineer was coming, he didn't show. As it was 5:00 PM, cold and New Year's Eve, we took our suitcase and went to the front desk, absolutly NO help, so said we were going home to Tucson where we would be warm. Will be a long time before we return to Esplendor!!!!

Located in the desert with a great view. Has a heated pool and a small gym. There were some holiday decorations that were cute.
The room was dirty and dusty and had a strange smell. the bedsheets were old and stained.

Great customer service and quick check-in process. The staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and there were no issues. The comfortable chairs outside provided a pleasant experience.
The toilet in the room had a running issue and the heater/AC unit was noisy. The lighting was poor and the food was cold and of poor quality.
